7th June – Elephant Sessions
Next month we welcome the energetic and highly acclaimed Elephant Sessions to Portree Community Centre. From humble beginnings in the Highlands of Scotland, to playing around the world, Elephant Sessions celebrated their 10th year as band in 2022. Creating a progressive blend of intricate tunes, with a bass and drum heavy backline, their music combines the very best of trad, funk and electronica, resulting in a new and exciting sound. 8th June – Skye Half Marathon
It’s time to don your running shoes and embrace one of the most scenic routes the world has to offer. A 13.1 mile road race starting in Portree and heading North towards Uig, at Kensalyre you turn left onto single track roads the circle back to Portree. There is also a 10K and fun run option. 18th – 27th July – Fèis An Eilein
Taking place at venues across the Isle of Skye, Fèis an Eilein is a celebration of island culture and performing arts with a strong focus on Scottish traditional music. 7th August – Skye Highland Games
A firm favourite amongst visitors and locals alike, the Games is one of the highlights of the Skye calendar. Not to be missed! https://www.skye-highland-games.co.uk
